An accomplished educationist with a career spanning twenty four years, Mrs. Jyoti Gupta, Principal – Delhi Public School Ghaziabad, brims with creative vivacity and a tireless zeal.

Joining Delhi Public School Ghaziabad, in July 2011, Mrs. Gupta took the reins in her hands to propel the school towards greater heights and traverse unchartered territories. Many new activities and programmes have been introduced in literary, cultural, co-scholastic spheres. Under her able leadership the school has been as the ranked No. 1 school in Ghaziabad for four consecutive years.

Mrs. Gupta is of the firm belief that globalization demands an expansion of one’s boundaries to assimilate the best that the world offers. To address the same, she actively promotes international exchange programmes. She was recently invited by the Australian High commission to join a team of leading academicians who visited Australia to gain insight into the Australian education system.

Mrs. Gupta was also invited to visit top Canadian Universities to observe the academic environment and cultural ethos of the top educational institutions, explore admission opportunities for children under her tutelage and secure berths for them. The school was able to procure 4 dedicated scholarships.  Simon Fraser University and University of Alberta have pledged to give 100% scholarships to our students.

Recently, Mrs. Gupta was granted a scholarship by the British Council to do a research project at Melsham Oak Community School, in UK as part of the UKIERI schools linking programme.

Mrs. Gupta has been conferred upon with the Dr Radhakrishnan National Award for Teachers and the Delhi State Teachers Award for the meritorious service to the cause of education.

Mrs. Gupta is the proud recipient of National Award to Teachers, 2012 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Education as envisioned by Ms. Gupta is the right blend of academic acumen and creative effervescence. Her passion for excellence and her all encompassing vision has imbued the students and teachers alike to reach for the skies. 

Ms. Sangeeta Mukherjee Roy, Headmistress  (Primary School)

Mrs. Sangeeta Mukherjee Roy, Headmistress of the ECE wing, is a post graduate in History from the coveted Delhi University, and PG diploma holder in sales & marketing and Human Rights. After her excellent professional exposure in the corporate sector she decided to render her services in the field of education. 

She joined Delhi Public School Ghaziabad in 2004 as TGT Social Science and since then has been efficiently handling many important responsibilities. She became the coordinator of the secondary wing in the year 2010-11 and has anchored many inter school and intra school events. She has represented the school in several international forums, including the student exchange programme in Singapore.

She took the charge of ECE wing as its Headmistress in May 2011. With the motto of excellence in education and all round development of our children, she is leading the wing to newer accomplishments. 

She is highly passionate towards her work and is very creative and enthusiastic by nature.  She believes in working together as a team and even involves the parents in the school activities .Her team spirit coupled with her creative instincts make her a leader figure.

Ms. Krishna Singh, Headmistress Secondary School

Mrs. Krishna Singh, Headmistress Secondary Wing, is a Graduate in Social Science and Post Graduate in Geography. She has a whopping experience of 24 years in teaching Social Science at Secondary level. After proving her administrative abilities as a coordinator for classes 7 and 8 for 3 years, she took the charge of Secondary Wing as its HM in June, 2014.  

She has the following professional development activities to her credit:

  • Conducted sessions on Dimensions of  Learning for new teachers
  • Took the lead in mapping the Social Science curriculum in Secondary Wing
  • Trained and guided students for prestigious NTSE exam.
  • She has worked at CBSE as the representative of the school and produced high level sample papers for class 10.
  • As an ISO auditor she has done justice to every detail.
  • She has also attended the coveted course on ‘Management Imperatives for Educational Institutions’  organized by IIT, Delhi.
  • Expertise in event management- Has successfully coordinated and managed mega events like Annual  Functions.
  • She was the transport incharge wherein she ensured the smooth functioning of the transport department.
  • She was also the exam incharge wherein all the work of the exam department was carried out meticulously.
  • As Head of the Department of Social Science she brought about many innovative changes in the teaching of Social Science.
  • House Incharge of Cauvery House- She motivated the students to raise the level of their performance.

As the Headmistress, she has excelled both in supervision of staff as well as in the introduction and implementation of new methodologies and pedagogies in teaching and effective school management to maximize the efficiency of the staff. She takes extra interest in supervising and motivating the staff to enable them to optimize their potential. She works really hard with teachers to improve or excel in various aspects of their teaching with regular performance evaluations. Her admirable personality, camaraderie and will to understand others, and the keenness to put duty before self make her the vital cog in the administrative system of DPSG.
She gives emphasis on overall personality development of children by focusing on  areas such as music, arts, science or technology, sports and physical education, shramdaan activity and by incorporating them suitably in  the curriculum. She oversees the emotional, social, educational and physical well-being of the students. For this various programmes like life skill classes, leadership camps, excursion and counselling both of parents and students are undertaken as an ongoing process throughout the year. She believes that true quality education must address the moral, spiritual and academic needs of the students.

She envisages learning as a natural process, values questions above answers, creativity above facts, individuality above conformity and excellence above performance. Her vision is to see her learners as seekers of knowledge who are motivated by curiosity.

She is an avid reader and sportsperson to the core. She had represented Ghaziabad region in Javlin and Discus throw at the National level.
