IB Corner


The students of IB DP year I and II visited Coca Cola Happiness Factory at Noida on 20th July 2019 in order to have a thorough understanding of the Industrial Modus – operandi. The interdisciplinary CAS activity provided the students with a better understanding of the corporate social responsibility, promotional activities and an insight into the production and operation processes at the industry.

The visit started with an introductory session followed by a brief information on safety measures taken care at the plant and an induction video which provided very useful information about the Coca-Cola Company and the products offered by the company worldwide i.e. Thumbs Up, Maaza, Sprite, Fanta, Coke, Kinley etc. The students were taken for the plant visit with the ‘plant guides’ and informational details about the whole bottling process including the preparation of the base, decarbonisation, formation of syrup mix, checking the temperature and finally bottling and packaging were explained in detail to the students. The queries of the students were answered specially by the HR manager, Marketing manager and the Finance manager who had specially come to address the students and satisfy their inquisitive minds.

The session made the students aware about the association of Santa Claus with coke and the venture of the company’s association with Limca Book of records by publishing it in brail manner for visually impaired people. The guide briefed the students about Coca Cola’s various CSR(corporate social responsibility) projects which includes VEER, SUPPORT MY SCHOOL, PARIVARTAN, PRAGATI AND UNNATI for farmers, girl sanitation and education. The students were overjoyed to see the coke studio, the gaming corner and the polar bear in the beautiful premises. The visit to the company was an insightful experience which colossally gave a good learning to the students.


As the students start thinking about applying to colleges, it becomes imperative for a school to provide latest insights and insider expertise about the tips on how to succeed in the application process. In one such effort, DPSG IB DP invited Ms Niralee Gupta, an alumnus of 2014-15 batch, studying at Smith College, Massachusetts, USA, for a session with the students. She guided the students about the ways to make their college applications and choices to stand out. Several components of the college application such as personal information, activity sheets, college essays etc were discussed in detail in the session.

DPSG Bestows Honours on the Young Leaders

August 6th,2019 stood witness to an inspiring ceremony of handing over the badges to the prefects. The making of leaders is an experience in itself. Our young leaders at DPSG have to go through a stringent process which involves introspection through a self-assessment proforma, facing interviews with the panel and then with the Principal.

The parent community was also present to witness the much awaited event. It was indeed a proud moment for parents to see their child being given responsibilities of the highest order.

The Chief Guest for the day was the alumnus of the school, an ex army man, Mr Nitin Mehta who is currently a model and an actor.

The programme commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony followed by the rendition of an inspiring and motivating self composed group song by the students, that set the mood and tone of the event . Then came the much awaited moment . Tension and apprehension reached a crescendo as the students waited with baited breath for their posts to be disclosed. Thereafter, the Chief Guest awarded badges and flaps to the new executive members of the student community , congratulated the winners and wished them all the very best. The students felt humbled with a sense of responsibility conferred upon them as the Chief Guest administered the oath taking ceremony to the leaders. The Principal congratulated the prefects and exhorted them to be honest , honourable and maintain the sanctity of the posts bestowed upon them. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Headmistress of the Senior Secondary Wing.


With an aim to make our city green and serene, the students of IBDP participated in Plantation Drive in the school. The students planted saplings in an around the school campus to raise awareness and consciousness about environment among the masses. The drive was a huge success empowering students with substantial knowledge of environment and plants and simultaneously enhancing their social skills.


The students of IB DP Year II participated in Business Studies competition ‘Prodigy 2019’ organised by Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. Our students were finalist amongst the 80 participating schools all over India.


As a part of CAS programme, Aakarshan Mishra of IBDP year I, taught the professionals of Scraps Lab the details and nitigrities of designing Drone cameras.


Students of Delhi Public School Ghaziabad participated in “Tech n Gen” Competition held at Nehru World School, Ghaziabad on August 10, 2019. The young technocrats, Shrey Sharma (IBDP), Ranya Kaushik, Teena Jain of class XI made us proud by bagging the first prize in “Tech n Gen”. Their research project and model on making paper using water hyacinth was much appreciated by the jury members.

Arjun Nigam of IBDP-Year-2 and Shrey Sharma of IBDP Year-1 represented IBO and presented about the benefits of doing International Baccalaureate Programmes to the visitors of DIDAC-2018 held during October 4th , 2018 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.


IB StudentsGopal Sharmaa and Pranav Pal represented the International Boards SportsOrganisation (IBSO) Team INDIA Under-17 Soccer team and Participated in PARISWORLD GAMES 2018, held at Paris and made into Quarter finals by defeating thetop soccer club of France.

Solemn ceremony held in DPSG Meerut Road on 29th December 2016 around 1100 students from classes VI –XII were awarded scholar badges in recognition of their outstanding academic excellence.

Ishanya Singhal Student of IBDP received her first DPSG scholar award for excellence in Grade X Academic performance.

Akshita Agarwal Student of IBDP received her fifth consecutive DPSG scholar award for excellence in Academics.

SPIC MACAY : Kathak Performance by Ms. Rani Khanam

Under the aegis of Spic Macay, the students witnessed an enthralling Kathak performance by Ms. Rani Khanam on 15th December, 2016. Ms Rani Khanam along with the musicians was accorded a traditional welcome. The renowned and distinguished star held everyone spell bound with her marvellous portrayal of extraordinary rhythmic sense and grace. She not only explained the nuances and complexities of the dance but also demonstrated it through a mesmerizing performance. The students enjoyed watching the Kathak dance recital and learnt a lot about the dance form, the various body postures and mudras..


Students got an opportunity to learn about the various courses offered by NIFT and how to prepare for the entrance examinations. An enriching experience of campus visit and witnessed the work displayed by design and technology students of NIFT, Delhi

DPSG Meerut Road, Ghaziabad has become a part of the School Enterprise Challenge Program run by UK based Charity Teach A Man To Fish by the name Foodmart@DPSG.com. Under this global competition the school children are doing socially economically viable business. The Home Science and Entrepreneurship students are producing the food delicacies to be sold to parents, visitors, students within the school premises on various occasions such as PTM, functions of students etc. Students are learning the soft skills of doing a business by developing their interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
